Tanners Wines is family-owned, family-run, resolutely independent and celebrated its 180th anniversary in 2022. It is run by James Tanner, Chairman and Managing Director, the fourth generation of the family to work in the company, who took over from his father, Richard Tanner. Operating seven Tanners Wines branches in Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Chester, Hereford, Llandudno and Welshpool; and a Taste of Tanners Wine and Tapas bar on Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury.
